Results of 8th Genjuan International Haibun Contest

Dear friends,

The results of the 8th Genjuan Haibun Contest are as follows. It was a good year for Canadian writers! We received 94 entries from a record 19 countries this year. Our gratitude goes to all entrants. We also wish to thank our new judge, Toru Kiuchi, for his hard work and insightful remarks. The five prize-winning 2019 entries should be posted to the Icebox https://hailhaiku.wordpress.com/ on a separate page in a fortnight or so (find orange link 'Genjuan Winning Pieces 2019' at top right). Hopefully you will enjoy them as much as the judges did.

Please share the results with your friends and readers if you are able. Thanks for your kind cooperation and with best regards,

Stephen (Tito)
