KAMESAN & KAMESAN, a six-verse renga

KAMESAN & KAMESAN, a six-verse renga

Dimitar Anakiev uses the haiku name, Kamesan. Hisashi Miyazaki’s first name is written with the character 亀 (kame, turtle) and consequently has the nickname, Kame-san. The two got together recently on the internet and produced a linked verse (first published in Serbian at https://kamesanhaikublog.blogspot.com/2018/10/renga-dva-kamesana-ulancana-pesma.html).

Such a long ginko1—
jotting down poetry
using a goldenrod2
- - Kamesan (Dimitar Anakiev)

Typhoon Jebi3—
its gift, in our garden
a reed screen4
- - Kamesan (Hisashi Miyazaki)

From Kamesan to
Kamesan—cheerful rainbow
over the great storm
- - Kamesan D.

West/East Kamesans meet
in cyber space—
equinox
- - Kamesan H.

Naming something and
naming nothing: a turtle
swimming in the pool
- - Kamesan D.

Today loved by
Japanese Kamesan, too—
that cat, Momcilo5
- - Kamesan H.
